In Kabale

Interview with Mom

How was the ride from Kampala to Kabale?

Pretty fun to look out the window to see how different Uganda is from America.

Like what?

EVERYONE is black. The street is pretty dusty and there are goats and cows everywhere.

How was the road?

Bumpy.

What did you think of your new house?

Awesome! Because it is OUR house and I get a new room. yea!

This is our first morning in Kabale.

We caught a tree frog in our house. Nobody has lived here for awhile.

This is our friend, the Rev. Canon Jovahn. He taught us how to eat sugar cane. I think it's too sweet.

Jesse loves sugar cane and he had been waiting a long time to try it.

This is a tank that collects the rain water.

This is our living room.

This is my messy room. We have to have a mosquito net on our bed so that at night we don't get bit by any mosquitos that have Malaria or other diseases.

This is our car and part of our yard.

This is part of our house.
This is me and Jesse climbing up our hill and also our car again.
This is me and Jesse going down the hill.

We have to burn our trash in Uganda. No garbage trucks or dumps here. There's this sweet little do... I'll tell you about that later.

This is us exploring the hill we live on. The Hines live on the university campus and we live right outside the gate. It's all on a hill.
